Meet Anna Jones

IMG_1329

I graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Interior Design, and I’m a loyal Horned Frog fan and supporter. I began my career after college working at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) for the Oliver Walker showroom. After a few years of learning the industry, I went to work in Hilton Head, South Carolina for Kelly Designs, where I enjoyed working with numerous high-end residential and retail clients. This was a dream job for any interior designer – particularly one early in her career.

After a few years, I decided the commute was too much, and I went to work for a firm on Skidaway Island, closer to my home in Savannah, Georgia. After 18 months of working for Village Interiors, I bought the business and became a small business owner at the age of 27. I spent four years running my own successful business, but once my husband and I decided to expand our family, being closer to home and family in Texas was a priority.

We moved to Texas, and I took some time off after our son was born, but after enjoying being home for a year, I was ready to get back to work. My love for design was calling. I started with a job at The Market Antiques and Home Furnishings as their in-house designer. Unfortunately, due to the economy at that time, The Market had to close. I took it as a sign I was meant to be out on my own again.

Since then, I have been very fortunate to have a steadily growing client base built solely on referrals due to over 28 years of experience and relationships. It’s very rewarding to go to work every day with a mission of helping others transform their space into a place they love, a place that’s comfortable, and a place they are excited to call home.

Meet Katie Hawkesworth

Hi, my name is Katie Hawkesworth! I grew up in a small town outside of Los Angeles. I knew from a young age that I was meant to be in the creative world. Whether it was dancing, painting, photography – I felt alive. I graduated from Woodbury University with a bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture. Prior to joining AJ Designs in 2024 as a Junior Designer, I worked at a couple high-end interior design firms in Los Angeles, where I fell in love with residential design. After much traveling and exploring, I was ready for a change of pace and decided to call Fort Worth home! Outside of work, you can find me in the gym boxing or at a TCU game!

I find excitement in the individuality of residential projects and value the relationships created with each client. I have a passion for creating spaces where families can enjoy the everyday activities that otherwise might have felt mundane. It’s important to me that we turn each clients’ dreams into a reality. I love and appreciate the process of design and it brings me joy knowing that we’ve carefully and diligently had our hand on the project every step of the way. I look forward to building new relationships, designing one-of-a-kind homes, and embracing what the future has in store!

Meet Payton Schoester

Hi my name is Payton Schoester! I grew up an equal amount of time in central Arkansas and the west suburbs of Chicago. From a young age, I’ve had a keen eye for creativity, whether it’s in fashion, cosmetics, or designing spaces. This passion naturally drew me to pursue a career in interior design. In 2024, I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Before graduating, I had an internship in Florida where I fell in love with residential interior design. Outside of work, I find myself drawn to the excitement of baseball and football games, exploring new places, and cherishing moments with friends. As I embark on this new chapter, I am thrilled to call Fort Worth my home!

Joining AJ Designs marks the beginning of an exciting journey for me. I am eager to deepen my understanding of the residential interior design process. I value the importance of individuality in creating spaces that truly resonate with clients. I look forward to forming meaningful relationships with both clients and designers at AJ Designs, embracing the design process, and carving out my path in the world of interior design.
